I am curious about the size of different guinea eggs. When I purchased some guinea eggs in the spring they were very small eggs. Smaller than I had ever seen. My guineas lay large eggs. To my understanding this is not the normal????

MarlinChaser, this is a trio of eggs from today. None of my guineas eggs have ever been banty sized. The guinea egg is in the center.

Anyone else have large guinea eggs equal in size to large chicken eggs?

I'd say mine are generally smaller than that, and a bit different in shape.

It is hard to see the shape fromt he camera angle. They are triangular with the rounded top.

Wow, Miss P. I wish my guinea eggs were large like yours! Mine are the same size as the eggs I get from my silkie hen. Brown, triangular shaped and very small.

I got some from wildernessdweller in Maine for hatching. The eggs were almost as big as chicken eggs. I can't wait to get some eggs from them [IMG]

Is it hijacking the thread if I ask if you eat Guinea eggs like chicken eggs?
