Can someone show me what guinea eggs look like? This is my first year for raising guineas and they should be laying, but I haven't caught them laying. I have found a few small white eggs that are odd shaped bit I'm not sure if they are guinea eggs.

These are all Guinea eggs from my Hens...

ETA... if you are letting your Guineas out to free range they may be laying outside in hidden nests... Guineas are not typically fond of laying in the coop or nesting boxes unless they have no other choice. It's pretty much coming to the end of the laying season for GUineas in most areas now tho.

Yah, you probably would have gotten some eggs from the little flock that you got from cracking up

Bummer.

I have heard my guineas lay 2 or 3 times. But honestly my EE chickens don't make a sound when they lay. My RIR carry on forever!!

So could you describe it..... Does it sound like their alarm sound or a buckwheat?

Sounded like they were making a bunches of noise! It was different enough that I walked over to the pen to see what was going on. So I am going to say it was outside the normal buckwheat or call. For a single lady to make a noise that would cause me to investigate, it was defiantly an odd noise! I have only heard it 2 or 3 times this yr & I collected over 200 eggs this yr. I would say the sound comes few & far between.

I have also had them lay on a large nest when one is broody & the entire flock had to sound off about it.
