I had 4 guinea (2 male/2 female) about 5 months old, who share a 5 x 10 ft house with my rooster and one hen. They were locked up in the evening. Always had access to food, water, and a little heat light. In the morning, I found one of the make white guinea in his French wine box with his head and neck (intact) slumped over the side of the box. No feathers anywhere. No signs of any type of struggle. A couple of teaspoons of blood discharged from his beak.
Any ideas on how he may of died?

  2. I have lost a few WHITE Guineas in the past. They just seem to expire for no real reason. I would not beat myself up about this and I really an very sorry for your loss. Get more, they are fun at about 12 !!

Interesting. Is there a color of guinea that appear to be physically stronger?

The pearl guineas are more hardy and physically stronger
