I just hatched six keets from my flock! I started with 12 eggs, 4 were clear and two quitters, but all six that went into lockdown have now hatched. Pretty good fertility for our one guinea cock who has seven guinea hens! Cock is lavender, hens are: lavender, pearl, purple, pearl pied, and purple pied. These eggs were from a communal nest, so I expected a mix of colors, but all six keets are lavender or blue. Three keets are the typical lavender with blue stripes and stripe behind the eye. However, three keets are lavender (or blue) with white underneath at wings, belly, bottom of face, see pic for the two different colors in the hatch. I am guessing that these keets are either lavender pied or coral blue. Is there a difference between those two colors in the keets? Thanks!
