This is my first experience with chicks: they are 10 days old and a guinea keet is hanging her head and wings, not interested in eating or drinking for a few days. I've coaxed her to eat two or three meeley worms every few hours. She is now starting to pick at the crumbles and drink on her own. She is still hanging her head and looking ill. She is smaller than the others. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I'd just keep doing what you are doing with the meal worms, offer her some boiled egg yolk and also add poultry electrolytes with vitamins to her water and be sure to dip her beak several times a day in it to make sure she's getting a few extra swallows here and there. I'd also make sure she stays warm. She may have been crowded out from getting feed and water, got weak from it and just needs a little TLC boost to catch back up.

Sometimes tho, keets are born with weak hearts or other defective organs that just can't keep up with what their body needs it to do... no matter how much we try to help them.

Thank you so much. I will give that a try. She really doesn't want anything but worms. Approaches feed but walks away without eating. Will try the vitamins & egg yolk. Thanks again.

Keet is doing very, very well. Didn't want to post sooner. I was afraid of the wishful thinking and hoping syndrome. She refused the boiled egg yolk, but I did continue with the meal worms, fresh and dried. Purchased the electrolytes. Within three days the improvement is amazing. Thought for sure I would lose her. I went worming last night and treated everyone. Held a night crawler in each hand and just allowed them to tug and pull. She is only half the size of the other 4 guineas, 5 plymouth rock and 5 rhode islands but I think she is stronger. I treated them again this morning with the balance of the night crawlers. She pulls and tugs like a machine and pushes her way around. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and concerns.
