guinea with gunky eye???

I have chicks and guineas in the same brooder. ONLY ONE has ONE bad eye. It's a runt guinea, and its eye is shut, there is no puss, i washed it out. But what is it? what do I do?

You did what I would do.

My next inclination would be to use "eyebright", an herb used specifically for eye ailments. If you google that, you will find more info and a source. Good luck - hope it's nothing serious.

the poor thing died. it was much smaller than the others, and was always tired. i tried vitamins just to give it some strength. didnt work
