guineas not roosting in tree

I live in NC and have a bunch of guinea fowls who usually roost up in the trees above my barn but for the last two nights have been roosting on the ground... This is NOT safe for them!!!! I have a group of young guineas on the ground in a cage but they have been there for about 3 months now and this is the first time the adults have stayed on the ground....Does anyone know why they might be doing this and how can I get them back in the trees? We have prey animals that will be eating them soon. Help!!!

Do your guinea's live outside with no coop?

Our guinea's usually only nest on the roof of the shed when they see a predator, I usually keep them in a coop.
