I had a call duck setting on a nest of eggs, for probably about 10-14 days. I let them out each day to free range in my yard while I garden/mow and a hawk came in aiming for the pigeons next door and spooked the call duck and she took off flying. And I searched all day and couldn't find her. I know the hawk didn't get her. But now, I'm wondering what can be done with the eggs. There are 13 eggs of them. I have another call duck setting, but she has her own 12 eggs, and I don't have any other females. I left the eggs untouched overnight in hopes that the runaway would be back this morning. But she's not. Will the eggs even still be viable since they set "uncovered" overnight?

Ideas? I was thinking about candeling the eggs under the female I have left and swapping out any duds with those without a mother. Think that would work?
