Half Black and Half White Silkie - Please explain?

So this little guy/gal hatched out looking like this:

And is now feathering out like this:

Has anyone seen this before or have any chicks like this?

I have splash Silkies, and they don't look like that...they are much lighter in color. Is this a different kind of splash?

Cute little feller! I'll be curious about this chick. My opinion it will be mostly black when mature, or maybe a dark splash.
Please take pics at least monthly so I can see what happens!

The color of the chick looks blue, but thats weird how its feathering in. Just getting into the b/b/s silkies myself.

So maybe blue and white? It's foot feathering is coming in white as well...

I notice its toes are pinkish, not black.

is it a full blooded silkie? what color are the parents?

Looks like my blue cochins when they were chicks.

I just noticed the pink toes, too! I went and reexamined them, and it looks like black skin but splotchy black and mostly pink toes. Maybe they will turn in time?
