Wasn't sure how this cross would come out, but he/she is quite interesting looking. Wonder what the opinions here on gender are on this one. The legs are yellow like the RI, yet it has leg feathering. I am thinking roo? Thanks for any help on this!

Sorry but this is the only one! It was hatched in with a batch of all white silkies by my neighbor. He just wondered how it would look, as he only has one rooster and he's a white silkie. He is kind of unique looking. Has anyone else ever crossed a silkie here with a RI red hen?

My white silkie hen just hatched out 5 chicks last night. The proud papa is a rhode island red.
2 of the chicks are black and 3 are yellow!

I'm wondering if it's like a sex link chick...is the colouring indicitive of the sex?

I am very curious to see how these chicks grow up.

I found this thread looking for anything that might give me an idea of what to expect looks wise out of these chicks.
