My pet Japanese Quails have laid 60 eggs which I've incubated to hatch. 59 eggs hatched normally in my homemade incubator. This egg had reached the end of the incubation period with no signs of hatching or life. So my husband took a chance and opened the egg to find the chick alive inside. It wouldn't have survived without this. This chick is now healthy and playing with the other chicks. The chick was placed in a brooder and within 24 hour was up on it's feet, running around, eating and drinking fine.
