I recently hand reared a baby pigeon. I got him when he was roughly 1 week old, and he is now about 1 1/2 months old. He is now eating solid food on his own, has almost all of his adult feathers, and is starting to fly. However, he still makes his baby food begging noise all the time, and never makes any noise even resembling the adult coo. Is this normal? I don't have any other pigeons, so will he learn to make the adult cooing noise on his own or will he continue to make the juvenile noise his entire life?
