Happy Friday everyone.
I have a Lavender Orpington 3 weeks old and is supposed to be a she but she looks like Godzilla next to all of the other chicks. Her legs are thick and I have this strange feeling she might be a he.
2 Polish
1 Sultan
1 Barred Rock
1 Blue Cochin
1 Salmon Faverolles
1 Cream Legbar

Eh, I feel like it might be a little too early to tell. Behavior is rarely accurate when trying to determine gender.

3 weeks is much to young still to say for sure on its sex. Post new pics a few more weeks, does look to me a Lav Orp though.

Lavenders are very tricky to sex. I though I had a pullet right up to when it crowed in front of me. Patience. They taste like chicken if it is a Roo.

Fortunately for them we don’t eat or cull them. We are the bigger “chickens” here. If indeed a cockerel we would find him a good home.

I think it’s the light reflection. No wattles so far and the comb is still small. Fingers are crossed
