I have a real nice looking young Silver Double Laced Barnevelder Cockerel / Rooster.
Greenfire Farms line with NPIP papers to prove it. Also known as Silver Barnies.
Born 1/1/17 so he is 5 months old.
I bought a few chicks for my daughters 4H project this year and was hoping for hen/rooster pair, but I ended up with 2 cockerel / roosters. I hate to see him go, but I cant keep them both.
All my chickens are free range except at nite/early morning due to threat of the bad neighbor dogs. They all stay close to the house and dont wander off.
He is already used to cats, dogs and being handled by children. I have never seen him aggressive yet.
He only crows few times a day and honestly pretty quite at this time.
