Hard boiled eggs have a pinkish circle in the yolk

I hard boiled two eggs, peeled and cut. They both had a pinkish circle in the middle of the yolk.

The eggs came from two separate chickens.

Does anyone know what that was?

No, I don't have the equip for pics yet. But I can describe better. The circle is pale in color and about the size of your little finger. It's not blood just a pigment.
