Is it safe to give them finely chopped hard boiled egg in my hand for a snack or is it too early? They were born at 10:30 on the 5th. All have been eating and drinking but I'm ready to make friends with my babies!!

If it is okay do I need to supply some grit?

    Thank you!!

It's fine, or you can scramble the eggs. A little plain yogurt, maybe mixed with egg or a bit of their feed, is also a good early treat. They won't need grit unless you give them something they need to grind up, and there is usually a little grit in chick starter feed.

Thank you so much! I think they will enjoy it!

My chick starter does have a little crushed granite in it is what the package says.
