Here are a few pics of my first ever chickens! They are five weeks old and well on their way to being full-fledged Chickens!! (I'm getting ready to order more eggs - I miss the babies already!!) [IMG]

A few of the "barn yard mix" - the chicken in the middle is beautiful in person!

This pair is not the nicest on the block! The little roo has a real attitude and is working his way up the ladder to the stew pot!!

Quote:Yep, right now it looks like out of 18 chickens, it is half and half hens and roos! I've made it very clear from day one only the nice, polite guys get to stick around!

Never having had chickens before, I was not sure what to expect. I am however, getting very "IN TO" chickens!! There are two which I believe are Barred Rocks who love sitting on my shoes; I've named one Tootsie and the other one was TootsieTwo until I renamed her/him "Tank"... she/he is getting pretty big. [IMG]

Their charming personalities - even the skittish ones - are fun to watch.

The LOVE Japanese Beetles and I'm winning lots of points by never going into the chicken yard without a handful of beetles! [IMG]
