Is 1/2" x 1/2" 19 gauge the correct size for protecting the coop?

I sure hope so, because I used a bunch of it on my coop!

i think that's the most common size, you can get bigger squares, but it cost more when i was looking at it. the 1/2" is pretty much what most are gonna use. There is a discussion on another thread here that it's better to use the wire that's galvanized after it's welded instead of galvanized before it's welded. i didn't see anything on the packaging to tell me if what i bought was either/or.....

Thank you everyone! For the run we are building we needed the roll to be 100' long and I found it online at Wireclothman.com AND it is called Galvenized after Welded so I'm glad to hear that it is stronger or preferred that way! Even with shipping it was a better deal for me than buying two 50' rolls from Home Depot (and I would be wasting some with that length).

that's great, i'm gonna go to that link and save it in my favorites, you never know when my chicken math will add up to me able to get more girls!

mypetchicken.com has it for $124 a roll for 48" x 100'. I've written to ask if it's galvanized before or after welding, we'll see if they answer!

Thanks for the mypetchicken site info. I did check out their prices to see what they had and the 48" roll they add $40 so its $164 a roll. Seems like they have a lot of nice products on that site that I'm going to check out. Thanks again!
