I can't seem to find any info on cranberries for the hens. I want to make sure they don't have anything in them that could be toxic to the chickens like the alanine in potato peelings.[IMG]

A friend of mine uses dried sweetened cranberries (Craisins) as treats for his hens when they do tricks. They don't seem to cause any issues.

Thanks all! I just fed them the whole ones left over from baking and they went wild for them. So far, it seems like the favorite treat yet!

Cranberries are very good treats, high in vitamins.

The two that are laying for me (of 5 pullets so 3 are freeloading) eat them and lay.
