Has anyone fed their chickens quinuoa?

    Has anyone fed their chickens quinuoa? I was reading about how nutritious it is and thought it would be something good to supplement the layer mash I feed them.

    Probably, as leftovers. I would see no reason not to except it's a bit expensive.

    I feed my chickens quinoa often. It is great for them and they love it!!! But it is expensive and my husband makes fun of me for cooking for the chickens.

    Yep! I give my chickens quinoa leftovers all the time. Sometimes, we'll mix it with some hot steel-cut oats & some flaxseed on cold mornings.... not that our chickens are spoiled or anything... LOL.
