My mom had 9 chicks hatch Easter weekend. After a while I noticed Francis beak didn't line up. The bigger she has gotten the worse it has gotten. So she is almost 6 months old and half the size of her sister but she seems to be doing fine. I thought I was helping her by trimming her beak and it started bleed and it just broke my heart I felt so bad for doing that. Should I continue to trim it just alittle or leave it alone. Her beak doesn't even close anymore and I have to feed her in her own way but other than that she is fine. Any advice I might need in taking care of her. One site said to put her out of her misery but she doesn't seem miserable.

Sounds like the chicken has a crossbeak. It does not require trimming. You may want to keep her seperate and watch to make sure it stops bleeding and allow her to eat when shes ready.
