has anyone heard of creolin cleanser for coops?

I've been dealing with several issues with my flock lately, and my mothers keeps saying: "you should get some creolin, that's what we used to use in the coops when I was young." So I finally decided to listen to her and looked it up on the internet. I learned that it is recommended for use as a cleanser, for household use, and for kennels, animal quarters, for dogs. I decided to look up the safety related material and found the safety data sheet which makes it sound like a not so friendly product with lots of warnings. Does anyone have any experience with the product, and does anyone know more about it, re: benefits versus risks in terms of using it as a coop cleanser?
