Has anyone used AVIO-TRICH TO TREAT A ROOSTER FOR CANKER? PLEASE ADVISE!!

    ONE OF MY FAVORITE ROOSTERS HAS CANKER I HAVE BEEN USING FISHZOLE FOR THE PAST 5 DAYS AND HAVE NOT SEEN ANY GOOD RESULTS , TODAY HE DOES NOT WANT TO EAT SO I WILL HAND FEED HIM, I WAS ADVISED TO TREAT WITH AVIO-TRICH BUT ON THE WEBSITE WHERE I LOOKED FOR THEM, THERE IS ALSO ALOT OF OTHER THINGS THAT SAY WILL HELP TREAT IT , I AM REALLY CONFUSED AS TO WHAT I SHOULD BE GETTING I WOULD TRULY APPRECIATE SOMEONES HELP WITH THIS ISSUE. THANK YOU IN ADVANCED

    Liz, I'm not familiar with the product that you have mentioned. I have used metronidazole (Fishzole) in the past very successfully on my pigeons. Sometimes the disease has gone systemic and become much harder to cure. Good luck.

    Just did a search on the product - apparently it is a coated Metronidazole pill that is 'easier' on the birds stomach. If you have some, I say it's worth a try.
