Has my hen a Quail Gene?

    My hens (only three) were battery hens in a previous life, but I have had them free range for two years. Access to garden and fields. They have continued to lay all winter, but this morning I found these in the laying box........

    It looks like a little chocolate egg for Easter. But seriously... I have had chickens occasionally lay a small yolkless egg, and sometimes lay a large double yolked egg.

    its a 'fart' egg, or wind egg for some.. :)
    those happen occasionally.
