My PBR eggs are set to hatch this coming saturday 5/14. This is the very time I have incubated and hatched out eggs! so EXCITING! [IMG] but nerve wracking!!! Any advice for a newbie would be great!
As of now my humidity is around 65%-70% on day 18.
I locked down the bator today and yesterday when i candled i could hardly see through the egg! Movement was present.
The temp has been around 100 and has dipped to be about 99 at times and one time did rise to about 101 around days 9-12.

I would love to hear hatch day tips! Please send me wise words of advice![IMG]

Awesome, hope you have a great hatch, and what is the PBR an abbreviation for?

thought so, but wasn't sure. No problem I love this time of year all the eggs hatching, I have hatched so far 6 ameraucana/4 ameraucana, rir cross, 8(brown leghorn crossed to 2 rir/2 BO/and 4EE) hatched on sun. , and will have about 18 more hatching of the ameraucana and ameraucana/RIR hatching in about 6days

so one of my three eggs has fully hatched into a wet little chick!![IMG]. One has pipped and i can see its little beak.
Should i take the one who has hatched out? Its chirping and snuggling up to the egg that has pipped. Its also knocking the egg around a bit. I dont want to taken it out to soon and risk the other eggs!? Help!?

You can remove the chick when it's fully dry, if it's still wet I'd recommend letting it get dried off before you take it out. Don't worry if it knocks around the other eggs, it would happen in a hens nest. All my other eggs always knocked all over the place and they always end up making it. When you take the chick put you can place any pipped egs with their pips up if you want.

How did your overall hatch go? Did all the eggs make it? I sure hope so!
