I just contacted a nice member here who said they put their eggs into an egg carton (just the bottom, I assume) for the last 3 days, and let them hatch there. I never heard of this. Now I see a few posts on here that say the same. It is rather upsetting to see the early hatched chicks run all over the newly hatched ones. I would think, however, that if the egg was in an egg carton, big end up, that when the chick hatched, he would be stuck there in a hole with broken egg shell all over. But, the early hatched chicks couldn't roll the eggs all around this way. Have any more of you hatched in an egg carton??? Please let me know your experience, as I have some in the bator on day 8 right now. Thanks.
