I had eggs that were to go on lockdown on Saturday. I opened the incubator to increase the humidity, I did the 30% then increase to 50% this time, only my second hatch, when I opened it one egg had already pipped, I help it hatch late Saturday night as it wasn't making any progress and had already absorbed the yolk, the humidity dropped back down while this chic was still in there. I took the chic out last night, the second egg hasn't pipped, I increased the humidity back up. Today is the actual hatch date but I am concerned with the humidity fluctuating, should I do anything else?

Put a small dish with water and a sponge in it, in the incubator to help bump the humidity. Once they've pipped there is a small risk that they can dry out and become stuck in the egg and this is when you need to keep the humidity high enough.
