pics will be here this afternoon....out of 30 eggs, only 18 made it. 2 I culled bc of serious leg defects. and 2 died before they could completly zip out of their egg
wishing now i'd have stepped in to help. but I wasn't at home
Then there were several that just never pipped. I've learned that when you get to day 21/22 and you're about done with the hatching process, if you hold the eggs that have yet to pip up to your ear, if they are alive and struggling, you'll actually hear them "tapping" on the inside! I save 2 last hatch this way. We were about to discard of them, and I listened, and there they were
I helped crack the eggs, and they were just as happy and healthy once they dried as the others
But, this time, there was no "tapping"
BUT....I have 18 new fuzzies
