at 4 days of age the best I can offer is they are chicks period!!
Were they from a breeder? (If you hatched the eggs, I presume they were).
Both have good eyeliner.
I can't see the top of the head of the right chick well, but both look to have strong head triangles...do the brown stripes run fully from the top of the head down the neck to the tail?
If so, you should have two girls....if the breeder was careful with her autosexing lines.
I have the Rooster and Hen I got as chicks this spring and hatched eggs from them here are a couple more pictures.
they won't hold still
If you got your Wellies from a good breeder, those should be all girls.
If you got your Wellies from the feed store, they are likely girls. Hatcheries don't control their auto-sexing lines as well as they should.
However, the error usually is in poor striping on both male and female rather than dark striping on males.
So I think it highly likely you have 2 girls. Watch their chests. Females will come in salmon colored while the males will fill in black.
Watch for the salmon to fill in and you know you've got girls.
Thank you I was thinking they were females but I'm not very good at it but the good thing is everything I have learned has been from snooping around on BYC.
