Hatchery sent two mysteries....

The hatchery sent two of the wrong breed so I have these two mystery chicks! They hatched Aug9. I thought Buff Orpingtons first but now that some feather growth is happening, I’m not so sure! Any guesses?

Hard to tell with certainty but Red Sexlinks of some kind is a great guess.
What did you order?

Could be RSLs or some sort of Production Reds.

Pics in good lighting once they're fully feathered will help.

I ordered 3 Salmon Favorelles and I got Favorelle and these guys!

Wow, that is a big difference. Depending on the hatchery when you order they ask if they can substitute out if the chicks you ordered are not available. I believe you have to check a box if you’re OK with that. Otherwise I recommend you contact them and let them know of their mistake. If these are red sex links (known by many names each hatchery seems to have their own name for them) then they are pullets and will be excellent layers though!

They already sent the replacements Customer Service at Meyer Hatchery is top notch by the way! I’m excited to see what they grow to be !
