is their any hatchery's online that I can order chicks from this time of year(December)?
This contains a link to a list of hatcheries and breeders: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=285981
I believe Ideal ships all winter, but you may get a LOT of packing peanuts.
MPC/Meyers is taking orders now.
Most hatcheries don't ship until early February. Your chances of success go up if you wait a while unless you are in FL AZ HI or CA.
Ur-uurrrrrrr!!!!!!! We're not styrofoam.....we're warm and LOVING........BOYS!!!!!!!
...My meyers shipment is coming in January.
We ordered from Welp Hatchery back at the first of November. I'm not sure what breeds you are looking for, but I figure they have alot of them available this time of year. Ours arrived on the 16th of November. We ordered 36 chicks of 6 different breeds. All have done well and are very active. The arrival date was on time and the customer service was good also. I would order from them again. Just my two cents.
im looking for Rhode islands. picked up an incubator so im looking for eggs now.
Of the 36 we got, 5 of them are RIRs. They are growing good and feathering out nicely. Father-n-law just came over and said that of all of them, the RIRs were his favorite because of their pretty dark reds.
