Hatching chicks today

We have a broody hen who has been sitting on fertile eggs of other hens. Today is day 21. Came home from work at 3 pm and found 1 chick. (There were none hatched at 11 am.) how long should it take for the other 6 to hatch? ( had 1 egg explode 3 days ago.) any advice?

In my experience if the eggs were all set at the same time, all viable eggs will hatch within a 36 hour period.

Hope you were able to clean and sanitize the incubator - stink eggs explode and spread bacteria everywhere. It could kill your new chicks.
