I need hatching eggs for my broody hens. I want pure bred eggs from the following standard breeds.
Light Brahmas
Speckled Sussex
Buff Orpingtons
Barred Plymouth Rocks
I will buy up to 24 with a guarantee of fertility for 50% hatch. Eggs from a Certified pullorum free flock. I would want to
see paperwork proving it.

I am looking for sources near Dorset, Vermont to assure eggs arrive quickly and in good shape, but it is not necessary. I would also pick them up if required.

If you have any information about hatching egg sources in the New England area please pass the information along. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help.

Not to be discouraging, but you will probably not find anyone who will guarantee a 50% hatch. You see, they have no idea how the post office might treat the eggs while in transit, and there is no way to know how good your incubation technique is. You might be trying to hatch them in a shoebox under a desk lamp for all they know. Shipped eggs are a gamble and you may get a 0% hatch and there isn't much you can do. It's a chance you take. That being said, your best chance of a good hatch is from local pick up. I would suggest looking on Craigslist, but you might not find an NPIP breeder on there. If they are NPIP, they will have tested negative for pullorum. So, Honestly your best bet is probably someone in the auction section here on BYC who is on the East Coast and also happens to be NPIP. Some folks also use EBAy, but for me that is a bit more risky. It does seem that folks on BYC do try to do the right thing and that makes me more comfortable. The breeders here want to keep a good reputation. Good luck, I hope you find what you are looking for.
