Back in 2006 I watched a young kid who was a whole whopping 15 years of age race at the Bristol motor speedway in the USAR Hooters cup series. He was in a McDonalds Ford and was tearing up the track. I told my wife then that I'd love to see Jack Roush or one of the other Ford teams get that kid under contract. Through the years I've always noted when he was running in a race and had hoped that he'd get a good break. Imagine my surprise to see him starting the Daytona 500 in a Wood Brothers Ford. There was only one thing that could be better for him than that and it happened. So my hat's off to Trevor Bayne for doing the seemingly impossible feat of winning his second cup race and that one being the Daytona 500! My voice is still hoarse from all of the yelling.
