.... gather the molted feathers and pile them into the corner of the coop?

6 weeks old ee's so they are still babies and they seriously pick up each feather and place it in the corner.. all of the feathers..

I only heard of broody hens doing this any experience with this? Just curious

Mine have done that at various times and stages in their lives. The nesting instinct is strong sometimes, even in babies. Especially in my babies, I've seen them "feather the nest" since they sleep on the ground and can't roost yet. They make themselves cozy.
