My first eggs came on the Jan 1, 2008, it felt like forever. I never gave this a thought, how about you? I was standing over the frying pan anticipating my morning eggs when I took a really good look: at the egg. It dawned on me that that little egg came from a living being. It was very small, only 48 grams because it is her first. What I am getting at, and this you ladies will get a kick out of. 48 grams is about 1 1/2 ounce and mom weighs about 5 lbs. We weigh about 125 give or take, and our babies weigh 7 lbs. give or take. Imagine growing a baby in our bodies every day, or every other day: that is what our gals do. No labor pains, no recuperation and no moaing and groaning. They just do it, they make us a perfectly formed seed of life. No it is not alive but I could be. My point is not that it s a whole living being, but just think about the mass that is delivered every day. In proportion it is almost like us delivering a baby every day or so. The idea of producing a perfect food source of such magnitutude for us and in exreme numbers is beyond comprehension. Any thoughts? I would love to hear them.
