Have your chickens tasted your blood?

Whenever I wear shorts or short sleeves, the chickens will attack any scabs they see, and pull them off when I'm not paying attention.
Blood thirsty peckers they are!

VERY odd conversation here, It probably causes the scab draw attention, may look like an insect etc.....don't think they are going after your blood.

Chickens are attracted to anything red, food or not. That is why if a hen is bleeding, you need to take her out right away because once they see blood they will probably kill whoever is bleeding.

I was bitten over a freckle, I guess? IDK. There wasn't a wound until the little stink bit and twisted. I will say that I learned long ago not to wear open toe shoes if you've had a pedicure. They can't resist painted toenails.
