Having a Bit of A Problem, And it Seems I'm Not The Only One...

Hey, Mods/Admins, it seems I am having a bit of trouble. I cannot upload pictures to BYC. It will perform the whole upload-the-picture deal, with the grey bar lading completely, but then it'll just freeze up and it won't go away, no matter how much I click "cancel". (Please forgive my absolutely horrible description! >.>) However, my computer is not frozen; I can close the tab easily.

It looks like Chic CAN is having the same issues, too. But she hasn't described them, so I don't know if they are the same ones. Please reply ASAP and let me know if it's my computer of if it's a glitch with the website.

This has been a few days with me i have upgraded all my drivers and such. I changed from internet 10 to google and it works. I see they recomend trying google/firefox. Is byc against internet explorer and trying to promote the other two? I also noticed i've been getting pop ups on the site wich i didnt before get them both with internet explorer.

hmmm I don't like google -_- or firefox.. it kept freezing on me and had errors, and it took up to 10 minus to load. I can upload pictures anywhere else just no here.

We're sorry to hear that this is still an issue. Here are a few questions that will help us find, duplicate, and hopefully resolve the problem you are having. Go through these questions and reply with all the details of your problem:

• Describe your problem in as much detail as possible!
• What is the URL of the page that you had problems?
• Did you receive any error messages? If yes, what were they? (please copy and paste the entire message, screenshots are best)
• What were the exact steps you took before having the problem? Please be as specific as possible so we can reproduce exactly what you did. Go step by step, provide links, details, clicks, etc.
• How long has the problem been happening? When did it start? If only one time, what day and time did it happen?
• VERY IMPORTANT: Which browser and version are you using (eg., Firefox 3.5.9, Internet Explorer 7, etc.)
• Have you tried disabling all your browser plugins and/or extensions? (Some of these conflict with website features and tools)
• Have you deleted your internet cache / browser history of files and tried again?
• VERY IMPORTANT: Have you tried a different browser (we suggest Google Chrome or Firefox)?

We need everyone having this problem to reply with the answers to those questions.

I select to upload a picture. In both any thread and PM's I select from my computer the image. then select the size and click on upload. Usually the grey bar scrolls twice. Only the first time it starts then runs backwards. The second time takes a while and stops at full bar. Nothing happens you can click the cancel button but it won't cancel, and if you click the submit button again nothing happens. It just holds the age and you have to shut the browser for that page.

I changed nothing.

it has been about 4 -5 days and the problem still exists. Every time I try. Roughly 24 hours after the last big update

No I don't know where to find plugins.. I have no add-ons

I have internet explorer 8

I tried Firefox, but it did not download correctly, there was a bad plug in so nothing worked much. I de-installed it and my computer sped back up. I am not a fan of google. IE always worked before just fine.

Yes I have deleted all history twice, scanned my computer, and made sure everything was up to date.

I can upload pics on FB as before.
