Hawk attack!

Bad News: While I was outside this morning feeding my chickens and watering a hawk dove down to attack my Cornish Xs less than 10' from me!!!!

Good News: I have strong pens and that hawk hit the side like a ton of bricks. Got off the ground and flew off with a 65lb German Shepherd hot on its tail!

Hawks are my worst nightmare!!! I put my chickens in their coop as soon as i see one above!!!

I hope the top of your pen is covered. Good work on the sides and having a dog nearby.

Don't worry my layers are in a tractor 24/7 and there is a roof. The meat chickens are in a pen off the ground and they are protected on all sides too.

I just couldn't believe it attacked with me and the dog standing right there!
