Hawk vs. Silkie

    We have been having such a huge hawk problem and one finally got a hold of my little Silkie, check out the whole story...

    Hawk vs. Princess

    If anyone has any good hawk deterrent tricks, I would love to hear them!

    You can string up pie plates on strings parallel to the ground perhaps 3 or 4 feet above the ground...the shiny-ness seems disconcerting to birds that hunt from above...it will also keep away squirrels and crows...We always used pie plate lines over our gardens to keep the crows and such out...the sparkling from the ground seems to mess up their landings, so they don't go towards the glinting.
