A hawk killed my Cayuga drake...Very upsetting day! I know it'll be back so I'm going to let the chickens and duck I do have out in the evening when I can watch them. Does anyone have any advice on keeping hawks away? And why would the hawk go for the biggest bird I had!? A black, 8-10 lb, adult Cayuga. I'm thinking because he's was the slowest of all the birds.. Thanks

My best advice is get a run cover if they have a run, or if their freeranged, put them in the run.
