2 of mine got snatched just now. I managed to save one by chucking a rock at the hawk. I'm searching for my other banti:,(. It happened so fast. I saved who I could. I'm new to chickens but they are my pets only. I'm so sorry for your loss too :,(((

I just had a red tailed hawk take a second chicken in a two weeks. I don't have a rooster and wouldn't like to get one-due to close neighbors. Anyone have any ideas of ways to keep the hawk away while keeping my run open? Any breeds of hens that I should add to my flock? Thanks
