This chick turned 11 weeks old this week and it has a small light colored comb and small wattles. I would think she is a hen, but her body shape is that of a rooster and he still hasn't grown his tail in like some of my others. What do you think- male or female??

It's very hard to tell from that angle. It would be easier if you had pics from the side rather than above.

looks like a pullet from what i can see and all r cuties. [IMG] the color too. a hen is a female over a year old anything under is called a pullet. in boys a cockeral is under a year and over is a cock or rooster. [IMG]

Hackle feathers don't look pointy enough to me. I'd say pullet.

If she had some tail feathers I'd say she was great looking!

    I'm going to say a slow-developing cockerel.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like it's leaning toward a pullet:)...I will try to get a picture from the side today. A white Leghorn is the father of all the chickens. The mother is either a RIR, Buff Orpington, Wyandotte, or an EE(wheaten and golden laced). Any ideas on which could be her mother?? I was thinking maybe an EE.
Also, it there a name for her color?
