Is it true that a very distinct head tuft on newly hatched Polish means that they’re males? Do females generally have a less distinct head crest at hatch?

In all my time hatching polish I can’t say that this is true. Whilst some believe that a more rounded crest on a new chick is a female that is unfortunately not always the case.

Thank you. My two new baby Polish have very distinct round puffs on their heads.

Could you post a pic? I’m afraid crest sexing is not that reliable so waiting is usually the best option.
