head twitch?

I noticed a lot of my buff orps have like a shake of their head like something is irritating them. They have done this since they were tiny. There are no pest or lice etc on them, is this normal? My brahmas do not do this. They eat well and have grown and at 22 weeks have begun to lay. They sing etc. Is this a genetic thing in some or a disease that I might see the results of later. They do appear very healthy otherwise. Jean

Interesting, my one buff orp does a sort of a head twitch, like a fast robot or something. None of my other hens does this.

One of my RIRs does this and has since she was little. She'll be 3 years old in a couple weeks. She's consistently been my best layer so whatever it is, it hasn't affected her in that way.

It seems like a facial tic in a persons face. I wonder if it is neurological? Jean

my 3 buff orps do it too....

they are still losing the downy stuff on their heads, thought that maybe that it was tickling them or something as it is coming out...

any experts on this? its a quick shake like...
