Headless chicken!

Any ideas what could be getting my chickens? Located in MT

-Yesterday, by the corrals, we found clumps of feathers with flesh attached. Found a breast bone and a foot...it happened in the morning approximately between 8 and 11.
-The next morning found this in the coop (pictured).

My guess is your coop isn't predator proof.

have you ever had any predators get inside your coop besides this time, have you ever seen any animals that could've possibly killed your hen?

Do you have raccoons, Hawks,coyotes,foxes,etc

so basically the predator came twice one yesterday and one today?

Right. Whether its the same predator both days or not, I'm not sure.

Not an expert but it may have been a raccoon? I've heard raccoons will eat their heads

I havent seen a predator in the coop. But we have all those predators you listed. Just didnt know if a certain predator only ate the head/neck.

Raccoons are known to pull the heads off of chickens

Yes, raccoons do eat their heads, this happened to two of my hens.
