Had to run into town this afternoon, when I got back. I notice my PR roo was out of his pen he never gets out, he's able to if he really tries but in the year I've had him this is only the second time. Well he was scratching the ground in a fret and alarming something crazy!!! So a ran to their house and his girl was gone, vanished. In the morning I let all my girls out to free range with my bantam roo, he and his girl a Barred rock stay in as that what they prefer.

Well.. all afternoon I cleaned up the pen and raked up the feathers that was left behind, but when it came time for them to go to bed they would not go roost in the coop, and my PR took off to the wood behind the property, my son is out there now with the spot light looking for him. My other 5 girls are scatter here and there, I've got 2 on my back porch, and 3 in the open shed huddled together. I feel so bad for them and don't know what to do.

I've went set up the game camera and have it set up closer to the coop, maybe I'll see what's getting them. I've lost 3 girl in 2 weeks and now have my gun lock and loaded, I've had my flock for 4 years and have never had problems before. I'm mad now..

DH just got home from work. now he's out in the woods looking for the predator and my rooster, with a shotgun in one hand and the spotlight in the other. Bless his heart.

No luck last night when DH went out.

I went looking for my roo this morning and spotted him withing a few mins, followed his "crows". We had made it about half way back to the house and he took off again, I don't know what to do...

Went out to look for him about half hour ago and I don't even hear him anymore, I left a little feed at the property line maybe he'll come back on his own. IDK

I'll go back out here in a bit. Any suggestion would be appreciated...

Thanks!
