Heat stress/heat wave

I've lost 4 hens in the past 36 hours due to the heat. (Southern AZ). Its 110+ every day and will be for a while longer. Would an ac unit help in the hen house? or is that to much? Trying to make sure they have plenty of shade and water already. I've raised chickens in the area for 15 years, through other heat waves, but never lost so many so fast.
