Hello Everyone,
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I have had chickens off and on for over 20 years.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have no chooks at the moment.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I would like to get Orpingtons again, as they are docile and pleasant to watch.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I have been a quiet member for several years.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am a crafter/ wire wrapper/ felter/ spinner/ dog trainer/ gardener.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

You are going to love the Orp Breed!! They are super hardy, they mature later than most breeds so this gives their immune systems and internal organs to fully develop before they start in on the stresses of laying, they are SUPER friendly and most of them do end up being lap sitters. :p Honestly they are like big puppies all their lives.

Good luck with this new adventure and welcome to our roost! :)
