im new to both BYC and chickens...ive allways wanted chickens but never had a place to keep them...I finally bought my first home last summer...it only took me 49yrs lol...but its a cute little house...that I painted yellow on 2 acres in the country. I was too busy rehabbing my new home last year ...but this year I was ready for chickens! I converted a old dog pen into a run and made a slightly carpentry challenged coop...lol...then last week I bought my chickens...3 bantams...cuz they were perty lol and a Wyandotte hen ...and with the help of my daughter and neices they all got named...the Bantam rooster is Chick O'Lay the 2 Bantam hens are Peep and Shakira lol...and the Wyandotte is a big girl so her name is Fat Amy! lol....they are all settling in good...no eggs yet...but Fat Amy got loose on the first day and we didnt catch her till nighttime haha...im excited and hopefull...any advice would be great!
